1- The person sending you wire will need your banking information. You must provide him with your bank information consisting of your name, account number and routing number. You should also have his banking information consisting of his bank name, account number and the address of bank and the sender himself.

2- You and sender better agree upon the date the wire should receive your account. Majority of the banks do the pending wires at the same time. So you better ask your bank about the time they do wire.

When it comes to International wire transfer, intermediary banks are often used. It also means that you will need an additional BIC code.

Some banks are very cooperative in these matters that make a note and check the account for you and inform you when the money reaches its destination (your account). Give information, about the intermediary bank (if there is any), to your bank.

4- Sometimes small issues lead to big issues. You better confirm receipt of your transfer with the sender immediately.
